it was face value vs intrinsic value.

that is the answer

which i had been searching for a month

and possibly the past year.

its no longer about

self esteem,

grades,

social status

or boasting power.

it is a duty.

not yet a calling

but nonetheless a moral obligation.

the officer's creed,

one which i pledge to do

and the one whom i pledged to be.

the officer corp is mine to uphold.
